WHAT IS "LEND”
LEND (Lending Enterprise for Neighborhood Development) is a not-for-profit business formed by South Bend Heritage Foundation to help save our urban neighborhoods.

LEND works in neighborhoods that surround downtown South Bend to save and rehabilitate homes, fix up existing ones, and to increase the number of homeowner-occupants.

LEND provides homeownership classes and counseling.

LEND has recently become a certified Foreclosure Prevention Specialist.

LEND is committed to the stabilization, enhancement and empowerment of the inner-city neighborhood.

Eight Hour, two part course will cover: Assessing Readiness to Buy, Shopping for a Home, Avoiding Predatory Lending, Financing a Home, Budgeting and Credit, Maintaining a Home, Foreclosure Prevention

Home Buyer Classes are from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Location to be determined.

FORECLOSURE PREVENTION COUNSELING

This workshop is for any homeowner who is concerned about their ability to make timely mortgage payments. The workshop will explain the procedures used by lenders, housing counselors and the court system to assist homeowners with mortgage issues. Contact Stephanie Ball, Director of Home Ownership, at 574-289-1066 to register for the Foreclosure Prevention Orientation workshop.

Foreclosure Orientation Classes will be held on the following dates: February 29th, March 28th, April 25th, May 30th, June 27th, August 29th, September 26th and November 28th 2012. Foreclosure Orientation classes will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the Colfax Cultural Center 914 Lincolnway West South Bend, IN 46616.
